Frequently Asked Questions
Everything important about Terminradar at a glance — from pricing and features to privacy and setup.
General
What is Terminradar?+
Terminradar is an online appointment booking system for small and medium-sized businesses in Germany. Your customers can book available slots around the clock — you manage all appointments in one central dashboard.
Who is Terminradar for?+
For any business that schedules appointments: hairdressers, beauty studios, physiotherapists, yoga studios, vet practices, lawyers, coaches, tattoo studios and many more. If you receive customers or conduct online calls, Terminradar can take care of your appointment management.
Do I need technical knowledge to set it up?+
No. The dashboard is designed so you can set up your first calendar in 10–15 minutes: enter opening hours, create services, share your booking link — done. No coding, no servers, no complex configuration.
Is there a mobile app?+
Terminradar runs entirely in the browser — on smartphone, tablet and desktop. A separate app is not required. The dashboard is optimised for all screen sizes.
Pricing & Subscription
How much does Terminradar cost?+
Terminradar uses volume pricing (graduated): the first resource costs €8/month, resources 2–4 €7/month each, from resource 5 €6/month each. Example: 1 resource = €8, 3 resources = €22, 6 resources = €41. No setup fee, no hidden costs.
Is there a free trial?+
Yes. The first 30 days are completely free — no credit card required. You get access to all features. After the trial you can subscribe or continue using Terminradar for free as long as you don't activate a paid calendar.
Can I cancel monthly?+
Yes. The subscription runs monthly and can be cancelled at any time at month-end — no minimum term. An annual plan is in preparation and will be offered at a discount.
What happens if I downgrade my plan?+
You can deactivate calendars at any time. Active bookings on deactivated calendars are retained — new bookings are blocked. Billing is based on active calendars at the start of the month.
Are there discounts for non-profit organisations or associations?+
Yes, we grant discounts to non-profit organisations on request. Write to us via the support area.
Features
How many calendars can I create?+
There is no technical limit. Each calendar is billed separately. A calendar typically corresponds to one employee, room or bookable resource.
Can customers book without an account?+
Yes. Guests book with their name and email address — no account required. Customers with a Terminradar account can manage, cancel and configure reminders for their bookings.
What are confirmation-required bookings?+
When you enable the confirmation requirement, incoming bookings are only confirmed after your manual approval. The business receives an email with a one-click approval link. Customers first receive a 'request received' confirmation, then the final booking confirmation after approval.
Is there a waitlist?+
Yes. Customers can join a waitlist when no free slot is available. As soon as an appointment is cancelled, people on the waitlist are automatically notified.
Can I offer recurring appointments?+
Yes. Customers can choose a recurrence frequency when booking (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly). The booking series is treated as a unit — cancellation of the series or individual appointments is possible.
Can I generate a QR code for my booking page?+
Yes. In the dashboard you can generate a QR code for each calendar — with your logo, in various formats. Ideal for shop windows, business cards, flyers or reception areas.
Can multiple employees use the dashboard?+
Currently one business account per company is provided. Employee logins with restricted rights are planned. In the meantime: each employee calendar can be accessed separately.
Calendar Integration
Which calendar services are compatible?+
Terminradar supports Google Calendar (OAuth), Microsoft 365 / Outlook (OAuth), CalDAV-compatible calendars (iCloud, Nextcloud, Fastmail, GMX, WEB.DE) and ICS feeds for reading.
What happens if my Google Calendar has an appointment?+
Existing appointments in your connected calendar automatically block the corresponding slots in Terminradar — no double bookings possible. Terminradar reads your calendar every 15 minutes (ICS) or in real time (Google/Microsoft OAuth).
Are new Terminradar bookings added to my calendar?+
Yes. Every confirmed booking is automatically added as an appointment in your connected Google or Outlook calendar — with the customer's name, service and time.
Do I have to connect an external calendar?+
No. Terminradar has built-in availability management. You enter opening hours, exceptions and holidays directly in the dashboard — an external calendar is optional but recommended.
Privacy & GDPR
Is Terminradar GDPR-compliant?+
Yes. All servers are located in Germany, no data sharing with third parties, no personal tracking cookies. For bookings, only the customer's name and email address are stored. Customer data belongs to the business, not Terminradar.
Is there a Data Processing Agreement (DPA)?+
Yes. You can find the DPA at /avv. As a data processor under Art. 28 GDPR, we process customer data exclusively according to your instructions.
How long is booking data stored?+
Booking data is automatically deleted 18 months after the appointment end date. Activity logs are deleted after 90 days. You can export your data at any time or request deletion.
Can I as an end customer view or delete my data?+
Yes. In the customer area under 'My Account → Privacy' you can download all your stored data as JSON (Art. 15 GDPR) or delete your account completely (Art. 17 GDPR). Booking data is anonymised in the process.
Are cookies set?+
Terminradar does not set marketing or tracking cookies. Only technically necessary data is stored in the browser (login token, language setting). An analytics tool (Umami) runs cookie-free on German servers — no cookie banner required.
Setup & Support
How long does setup take?+
A basic setup (1 calendar, 3 services, opening hours) takes approx. 10–15 minutes. With Google Calendar integration approx. 20 minutes. More complex setups (multiple employees, zones for new customers) take 30–60 minutes.
Is there onboarding support?+
Yes. In the dashboard you will find a step-by-step guide. For questions, our support team is available via ticket (in the dashboard under 'Support') — typical response time under 24 hours.
Can I embed Terminradar on my own website?+
Yes. Via the website widget (Dashboard → Widget) you can embed a booking button or inline widget directly on your website — with 2 lines of HTML, fully responsive.
Is there an API for custom integrations?+
Yes, a REST API with Swagger documentation is available. Webhooks for booking events (created, cancelled, rescheduled) enable integrations into your own systems.
